Getting Around in Lanzarote

Getting around Lanzarote is pretty easy as it’s a relatively small island with a good transport network. Most places of interest can be accessed by local transport and all resorts can be reached via Arrecife.

Bus

Arrecife Bus (www.arrecifebus.com) runs a frequent service around the Arrecife area, mainly to the resorts of Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise.

Car

• Car rental offices are easy to find in Lanzarote, with both large international companies and smaller local ones.
• Lanzarote is well-known for keeping hire car prices low and street parking is relatively easy to find, especially in Arrecife.

Taxi

Taxis are easy to find in the main resorts, but as Lanzarote’s public transport system is good and car rental much cheaper, they’re normally recommended for short journeys only.
