IMPORTANT:

• ALL passenger names will be required for this booking, including children aged 5-17.
• Valid photo ID is essential for all passengers aged 18 years or over on the Alcatraz tour. The names on the photo IDs must match the names on the booking.

Your ticket is valid on the bus tours for 72 hours.

Accessibility:

The following areas on Alcatraz Island are wheelchair accessible: Alcatraz Dock Area, Prison Building Main Floor, All Bookstores, Museum Displays, and the Island Theater.

Please be aware that Alcatraz Island is steep and hilly. An electric shuttle is available for visitors unable to climb the hill, which runs on a regular schedule each day. Please note that families with small children and strollers cannot use the electric shuttle and seating is available on a first come, first serve basis. 

Full Tour Loop Durations:

• Parks & Beach: 60 minutes.
• The Official City Tour: 2.5 hours.
• Sausalito Loop: 60 minutes.
• Night Tour: 2 hours.

• The Official City Tour: Fisherman’s Wharf (Visitor Information Center)
• Sausalito Loop: South Vista Point of Golden Gate Bridge

Departure Times & Frequency:

• Parks & Beach: Every 30 minutes from 10am to 5pm, daily all year round.
• The Official City Tour: Every 20 minutes from 9am to 5pm, daily all year round.
• Sausalito Loop: Every 30 minutes from 10am to 5pm, daily all year round.
• Night Tour: Daily at 7pm - 7:30pm (depending on the season)

Please Note:

The date you select when booking your ticket is the date your visit to Alcatraz will be reserved.

Children:

Children aged 4 and under go free! However if you are bringing a child aged 4 or under, please let the tour guide know by calling the number provided on your e-ticket at least 24 hours prior to your tour.

Collecting your Bus Tour Tickets:

All tickets for the bus tours can be picked up at the CitySightseeing Office. The bus portion of this attraction can be used at your leisure (within any 72 hour period).

The City Sightseeing office is at 1331 Columbus Avenue, Fisherman’s Wharf (between Beach Street & North Point Street).

Collecting your Alcatraz Tickets:

You must redeem your voucher for your Alcatraz tickets from the City Sightseeing Office on the morning of your tour date between 8am and 10am. They will then let you know what time your tour will be. Please Note: you will require your tickets at the Alcatraz Cruises Pier 33. Our vouchers will not be accepted here.

Included:

• Ferry service from Pier 33 to Alcatraz Island, the award-winning audio walking tour of Alcatraz Island and the prison cell-block tour.
