Whale Watching Tours - Iceland
Come up close with the fascinating Icelandic wildlife – see the majestic whales in their home near the shores of Reykjavik. There are 23 different species of whale that live in these areas, including orcas and humpback whales – how many will you see? With our large selection of tickets you can pick the start time and the duration of your tour, and you can even get picked up straight from your hotel. The Whale Watching Tour is the perfect opportunity to snap a collection of amazing animal photos. Get your cameras ready and be on the lookout for Minke whales, Humpbacks, Harbour Porpoises, White-beaked Dolphins & more! Love birds? You can also see the local gulls, the Arctic tern, the Gannet and of course – everybody’s favourite – the lovable Puffins. With over 23 whale species swimming around, your chances of spotting some are extremely high – and when we say “extremely high”, we mean it. In the summer months, our Whale Watching Tours have a whooping success rate of over 90%! Got unlucky and didn’t see any whales? Don’t worry - we won’t let disappointment dampen your mood! If you don’t see the whales on your tour, you’ll be offered to join another Whale Watching Tour for free. Would you rather use organised transport to the departure point, or would you prefer to make your own way there? The choice is yours - all of our whale-watching tours are available with and without hotel transfers. Children 0-6 are free of charge on this tour we will need to reserve a place for them, so please remember to let us know how many children are travelling and how old they are by calling us on 0344 873 0070 after booking. Tours depart at various times throughout the day. If your ticket includes transfers, please be at your hotel lobby or bus stop 60 minutes before departure time ready for your transport to Reykjavik harbour. Please note guests of the Mariana hotel do not need hotel transfers as they are located next to the harbour where the boats leave. We recommend warm clothes, such as hats, mittens and scarfs, as it can get very cold out on sea! We also recommend some cool sunglasses and sunscreen in the summer months. Please note this tour is dependent on weather and sightings cannot be guaranteed. Weather and sea conditions can be unpredictable during the winter months, therefore boat captains will make their decision to sail based on passenger safety and comfort. Tours depart from Reykjavik’s Old Harbour, which is just minutes away from the city centre. Please select a ticket which includes transfers if you would like to include roundtrip transportation to the harbour from your Reykjavik Hotel or bus stop. Once you arrive in Iceland, please call the number provided on your e-ticket to confirm your pick-up location and time. Visit the link that you'll find in your voucher to download and print off a voucher for Reykjavik Rost. Located right by the old Harbor, Reykjavik Rost offers a selection of freshly made & grilled sandwiches with a delicious selection of soups. With our exclusive meal deal voucher you can save up to 25% off of your combo meal (Soup + Sandwich + Filter coffee). Delicious! A Whale Watching Adventure in Iceland
