Full Details

This Chichen Itza tour is the only tour with access to the Mayaland Hotel which boasts its own entrance to the archaeological site.

Founded in 514AD, Chichen Itza was once the capital of an ancient Mayan civilisation.

This important archaeological site is steeped in a mystical history of human sacrifice, a powerful warrior culture, astrological study and discovery and fierce rituals.

You’ll arrive at the Mayaland Hotel and head directly to the archaeological site* where a guide will explain the historical significance of the sites most important temples.

After your Chichen Itza tour, you are free to explore the site at your own place, taking in the wealth of Maya-Toltec remains which include the Nunnery, Pyramid of Kukulcan, the Ball Court, Observatory, Temple of the Warriors and many other smaller beautifully preserved temples.

When you are ready, walk back through to the Mayaland Resort for a delicious buffet lunch of typical Yucatan dishes including chicken, fish and beef along with hamburgers and a salad bar (excluding drinks).

You’ll be accompanied throughout lunch by traditional Yucatan music and dance by the talented Mayaland regional ballet.

Following lunch you’ll have free time to re-visit the archaeological site, or enjoy the Mayaland Hotel resort facilities where you can take a dip in the pool, relax in a lounge chair or enjoy a walk in the hotel’s lush tropical gardens.

Important: Admission fee into the archaeological site is NOT included, and will be payable upon entrance. This is governed by the local municipality and our Tour providers have no control over this. The amount is usually approximately $497 Pesos which is only around £21 per person.
